For Your Information - News You Can Use

April 18, 2010, Sunday

Our HVL Board Reps, Russ Miller and Randy Page, and a couple of volunteers, spent a few productive hours working at the HVL beach/playground/shelter area. They tightened the cables surrounding the playground, removed the rotten railroad ties that enclosed part of the beach, and pulled the old, unneeded cable posts that used to hold the cables that enclosed the beach/shelter area when the old drive went around. Results - a safer, nicer looking playground/beach/shelter area for all of us to enjoy.

Hopefully the cable-tightening will keep the vandals from getting their vehicles under/over/around the cables and posts. If we can keep the vandals from undoing the work that was done, perhaps we can enjoy our beach/playground/shelter area the way it was meant to be be enjoyed, without having to worry about the next damage that they can dream up.

Thank you HVL Directors Russ and Randy!

Members - contact your Board Rep or Manager if you see an area that needs to be improved. Perhaps you can volunteer your time and energy to get something done. We can all benefit from a more pleasing to the eyes, safer community!
